Schema Markup

Schema markup is structured data added to a web page (using schema.org vocabulary) that labels its content so search and AI engines can understand it more precisely — for example marking up a business, a FAQ, or a review.

Schema markup is code in the background of a page that explicitly tells engines "this is a LocalBusiness", "this is an FAQ", "this is a review with a 5-star rating". It does not change what users see but makes the page far more machine-readable.

For GEO, schema is leverage: it helps engines extract your hours, services, location, and answers cleanly and attribute them to you. LocalBusiness, FAQPage, and Review schema are the most useful types for med spas and aesthetic clinics.

Schema Markup: FAQ

Does schema markup help with AI search?

Yes. Structured data makes your key facts unambiguous and easy to extract, which increases the chance an engine cites them accurately. It is a recommended GEO best practice.

Which schema types matter most for a med spa?

LocalBusiness (name, address, phone, hours), FAQPage (your common questions), and Review/AggregateRating (your ratings) are the highest-value types for local aesthetic clinics.
