Share of voice in AI search is the percentage of relevant AI answers in which your business is mentioned, relative to your competitors — a benchmark of how dominant you are inside answer engines.

Share of voice translates the classic marketing metric into the AI era: across all the questions your customers ask AI engines, how often are you named versus everyone else?

A 30% share of voice means you appear in roughly three of every ten relevant answers. Tracking it over time shows whether your GEO efforts are gaining or losing ground against named competitors.

It is most useful when measured per engine and per question cluster, since a clinic can dominate "Botox" answers while being invisible for "laser hair removal".
